A successful visit took place to the historic El Rosal winery, located in San Rafael, Argentina. Founded in 1902 and declared a cultural heritage site, this winery will become the epicenter of kosher wine production in the region, marking an important step for the wine industry and kosher certification in Argentina.
The visit featured the prestigious presence of Rabbi Nachum Rabinowitz, an international leader in wine and alcohol certification for the rabbinical authorities internationally, who was joined by Rabbi Mordejai Bobek from the Taham Kosher agency in Buenos Aires, both renowned for their expertise and leadership in implementing high-quality kosher standards. Their participation ensures that the production process will adhere to the highest standards of excellence and kosher requirements.
El Rosal, with its impressive architecture and surrounded by a captivating landscape, will produce a variety of wines, including Malbec, Cabernet, Syrah, and several blends. The first batches of young wine will be available for bottling in January, while the reserve wine will be aged in French oak barrels for 48 months, ensuring a unique and sophisticated flavor profile.
This project represents another step in the consolidation of kosher excellence in the wine world, and Aleph Kosher is proud to be part of this initiative that promises to take Argentine winemaking to new horizons. A toast to the success of this exciting project!
